As a craftsperson, my journey is EVER evolving; learning new techniques; approaches, and developing my understanding of how to make a great sounding mix; every few years; I find the template which I'm using begins to outdate itself from where and how I've developed my knowledge; which means rebuilding a new template to suit a new workflow;

What should your receive back from your mastering engineer?

I posted my chain I was using in 2020, and I loved making records with that set up and those tools; but at the start of 2021 I made a list of the new tools and processors for mastering which I've been progressively trialing; analysing, and going over a fine tooth comb.
